The difference between high-strength bolt with large hexagon head and high-strength bolt with torsion shear type.
1, from the appearance.
The shape of high-strength bolt with large hexagon head is different from that of high-strength bolt with torsional shear, and the head of large hexagon head is hexagonal. The head of the torsional shear type is semicircular, and there is a plum blossom head at the end of the bolt.
2. From the installation mode.
Install high-strength bolts with large hexagon head with torque wrench. In the installation process, the torsional shear high-strength bolt is controlled by the quincunx head at the tail, and the bolt is reversely tightened by the reaction of torque until the straight tooth-shaped tail end of the bolt is broken.
3. From the supporting way.
The matching of high-strength bolts with large hexagon head is different from that of high-strength bolts with torsional shear. Each set of hexagon is equipped with a bolt, a nut and two flat pads. The torsional shear type is a bolt, a nut and a flat pad.
4. From the perspective of torque control.
The torque of hexagonal high-strength bolt is controlled by construction tools, while the torsion-shear high-strength bolt belongs to self-scalar bolt, and its construction tightening torque is determined by the diameter of the cut between the screw and the plum blossom head at the tail of the bolt, that is, it is controlled by its twisting moment, and a special electric wrench should be used in construction.
Generally speaking, the hexagonal high-strength bolt belongs to the high-strength class of ordinary screws, while the torsional shear high-strength bolt is an improved version of the hexagonal high-strength bolt. Although it is the same kind of bolt, it is still very different in some subtle aspects. Compared with the two, torsional shear type high-strength bolts have the advantages of convenient construction, intuitive inspection, good stress and quality assurance, and most of them are used in high-rise steel structure projects.
